Flock Browser

I must say that I'm not really a fan of social networks, i only just started the blogging scene as you can notice. I stumbled upon this browser a long time ago but as i said i wasn't into social networks, so i put it down as quick as i picked it up. However, in recent days i said I'll give the blogging thing a try, after all i read so many every day (mainly Tec stuff), so when i saw Flock on download.com i took it as a sign. So, i tried it, and, i like it.

The fact that it has these services built into the browser is a plus for me, i prefer applications with the most "default functionality' because sometimes a plug-in can slow down or even crash a browser.

I use Internet Explorer as my default (yes i use ie) mainly because i use my windows live account as my main account as well as the whole concept of a windows live suite, which is something i think Google should of had a long time ago. With Flock i can get to my Gmail account right in the browser which is very handy. After seeing that i was like "ok cool but windows live toolbar syncs my bookmarks". Well i took a look at what Delicious (the social bookmarking network) is all about, and i was again impressed. Flock's bookmark bar syncs with Delicious. So all you need is an account with them.

On the down side of everything is that although it brings all the networks together, there are user names and passwords to remember for each so please remember your passwords in case of system failure.

In my opinion i would recommend Flock for anyone who is a member of 3 or more of the networks they support especially on a laptop (i installed on my net book). Its like using Firefox with the plug-in you need right off the bat.

I give Flock a 9 out of 10.
